Description of the Mothman
This creature is described as being gray in color,
with large red eyes that glow like lights, it also
has wings folded against its back. The eyes are
located or set into what should be the upper chest
or shoulder area, as though it has no neck or head.
The creatures height averages 6 feet tall, and it is
wider than a man.

Interesting Sighting Details of the Mothman
In the first encounter reported, 5 men were
working in a cemetery during the day, preparing
a burial site, when they saw a creature the size and
shape of a man fly over them.
In another reported sighting, 4 people riding in a car
spotted the same creature standing near the door of
an abandoned factory. Moments later they saw it
again on a hill near the road they were traveling on.
They watched as the creature spread it's wings and
rose in the air and flew towards their vehicle. They
sped away reaching speeds nearing 100 mph and the
creature stayed wit them for some distance then
flew away. They noticed that the creature did not
flap it's wings when flying but yet could fly at great
speed.
The mothman sighintgs were just one of several
supernatural events that occurred during the 13
month period.
Numerous people reported what is described as
'poltergeist' incidents during the 13 month period.
There were numerous reports of telephone and
televisions acting weird, like ringing strangely, or
tv's turning themselves off and on. Numerous
people reported having their vehicles lose all power
momentarily when they were near the abandoned
factory where the creature was sighted.
There was even at least two very reputable reports
of 'men in black' one even walked into a newspaper office
and was witnessed by the manager and others. Sightings
of large black limos were also noted at the times. And
there were over 500 telephone calls made to the newspaper
office and to officals in the area, about UFO sightings and
strange lights in the sky.

As far as the 'mothman' here again we have the
red glowing eyes as reported in numerous creature
sightings.
Remember the movie 'Amityville Horror' about the
demon called 'Jodie', it's eyes glowed red when
encountered through the window.
Although there are sporadic mothman encounters
to this day, most of the terrifying incidents occurred
during a 13 month period that started in 1966. It
was almost as if satan and his angels (demons) were
attacking this area.
Native americans said the area where the mothman
sightings occurred was haunted. The indians
reported that for years they were often plagued with
ghost lights, phantoms and strange creatures
