Description of the Jersey Devil
This creature has been sighted by hundreds of
eye witnesses, it is reported as having a slightly
narrow than normal head of a horse, and the face
of a collie dog. It's wings are large and bat like,
and has a roughly four-foot long serpent-like body.
It's eyes are often described as bright red and
shining like phosphorus. the total height of the
creature has been as tall as 7 feet, but sometimes
smaller as it's often bent down. It's hind legs, the
ones it walks or stands up on are described as like
the legs of a crane with hooves. The front legs are
shorter and have claws on them.

Interesting Sighting Details of the Jersey Devil
Navy Commodore Stephen Decatur said he
encountered the creature at the Hanover Iron Works
in the early 1800's, and fired a canonball through it,
despite a large hole the cannonball made when
passing through the creature, the creature was not
harmed and it flew away.
A telephone lineman working in a desolate Pine
Barrens spot near Pleasantville said he was chased up
a telephone pole by the creature. He stayed there until
a co-worker arrived, when the co-worker arrived he
also saw the creature and shot it in the wing. The
creature escaped into the surrounding woods
A husband and wife spotted the animal walking around
on their shed for ten straight minutes. Police officers filed
reports of shooting at it, without causing it harm. In the
same report a Trenton County councilman claimed an
encounter. He heard a hissing sound outside his door late
one night. When he opened the door, he found cloven
hoofprints in the snow.
In 1951 the creature was sighted peering into the
window of a home, frightening a young man who saw it.
In 1987 a German Shepherd was found about 20 feet
from where it was chained. The dog's body was torn to
pieces, around the dog was footprints like something
walking on hooves.
From 2000 to present there have been numerous
sightings.

Stories say the creature was born from a human curse.
A woman named Mowas Leeds, who was living in secluded
poverty with her twelve starving children, found out she
was to have another child exclaimed: "I don't want any
more children! Let it be a devil." When the child was born,
it was horribly deformed. It crawled from the womb, and
opended it's arms which appeard as wings, it flew up the
chimney and disappeared into the surrounding woods. A
pastor from the local church was called who performed an
exorcism on the creature that would keep it away for a
hundred years, it is at this time the sightings started.
There have been lots of reports of the Jersey Devil
over the years, many by police officers and other very
reputable people.
This creature like some others, has eyes that seem
to shine like lights, they do not just reflect light but
have their own source of illumination. The creature has
been shot by everything from a cannonball to multiple
bullets and is not harmed, this is clearly a sign of a non
physical being, and points to the supernatural or
spirtual realm.
